It's probably the best restaurant in Venice. Very small , you will need to have a reservation. The chef goes to the market daily then makes the menu. The freshest seafood, beautifully presented. All local ingredients.
OMG...AMAZING MEAL! My wife and I visited here our last night in Italy for our Anniversary. We saw this YouTube video that featured this restaurant and boy...it exceeded expectations. Chef Bruno was AMAZING. We even caught a glimpse in the morning after he had gone shopping. I would fly back to Venice simply to dine here again! Don't hesitate. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend. Very cozy restaurant and excellent staff!
Incredible food and fantastic service. Probably the best pasta with seafood I have ever had. The antipasti was superb. The ravioli is fantastic and the gnocchi with calamari and cinnamon simply out of this world. The swordfish was a bit too seasoned in my opinion. Too much herbs. The sole was better. Smooth sauce and superb vegetables and capers.
A Foodies dream finally realised!!! been wanting to visit this tiny restaurant with a huge reputation for a few years now, and it was everything I expected and more.
A warm, smiling welcome on entering from the front of house staff, and seated and handed wine and food menus in an instant that set the professional tone for the evening.
My wife had the Mussels with feta and oregano, and I had the spaghetti with clams... both were just perfectly balanced in flavour and freshness..Superb!
For Mains, we had the Fillet of Sole with citrus fruits and herbs, and I had the best tasting grilled calamari you could ever imagine...Was a dish I'll remember forever!!...
Puddings were Fig jam and ricotta tart, and the Panna cotta...Superb ending to a great meal..
After a couple of coffees, Luca asked if we would like a complimentary tipple, I asked if he had an Ameretto, and of course, he produced a chilled best of the best one available 👌..
Thank you all so much for such a memorable evening...
This Michelin Guide 22 seat restaurant is definitely one of the best fish restaurants in Venice. We have booked 2 months in advance so make sure to do that at least a few weeks in advance. The restaurant closes for summer vacation between July 30 and August 29.
We had the pleasure to meet Luca (Bruno was probably making art in the kitchen) and took a few photos.
We started with the octopus/potatoes/Avocado salad which was delicious and then had the grilled scallops with artichoke heart. Then we shared the mixed grilled fish for two which was extraordinary!! We ended up with the Venetian Crème Caramel which by far was the best I had in my life.
Thank you Luca. Thank you Bruno. We will definitely visit you next time we are in Venezia. Ciao!
Delicious food, intimate place,, gentle staff. All was perfect for an un-conventional Thursday evening in Venice…. We went for dinner and opened with 2’glasses of Spumante metodo classico, from the wine menu. Then we moved to the appetisers: calamari con puntarelle (served warm with a tasty dressing anchovies based) and calamari Di branzino, served with oranges, an orange jam and a very interesting spicy maionese. As main court we opted for capesante (St Hacques), served warm worth with fresh micro vegetables (interesting taste for a fresh and light taste of the sea) and calamari alla griglia., few tender grilled calamari served with a super home made maionese and fresh veggies. To finish, the waiter suggested a pistachio and an apple cake, both served warm. A good advice… with a clear preference for the Pistacihio’s, having the ice cream on top: delicious. All in all, food was super. Definitely recommended. Book in advance, tables are very few!
